4.0 out of 5 stars The Victory and This TIme Forever are the same exact movie., April 15, 2008
This review is from: The Victory (1981) aka Yesterday (VHS Tape)
The product shown here on this amazon.com page is The 1981 Canadian film "This Time Forever". It is the same exact film even though the video title is different. There is much confusion regarding which film this is and what it is known as. However, this is the highest quality release of it on home video. This PRISM vhs release is the only official SP mode release on NTSC US VHS. On TV it is mostly known as "This TIme Forever". On Home video is is known as "THE VICTORY." The Canada Film Title is "Gabrielle". Further it was also released as "Scoring" and also "Yesterday". Written and Produced by John Dunning the executive producer of "Buffalo 66" and "Meatballs". It premiered on CBS TV in 1986 as "Yesterday". The Prism US VHS Release is shown on this Amazon.com product page.
"The Victory" is a anti-war drama about a Canadian college hockey player ( vincent van patten) who is faced with returning to America after losing his scholarship and becoming eligible for the draft. While in Canada he falls in love with a young Canadian girl Gabrielle. Now the young man must decide whether to stay in Canada or join the army and the vietnam war. A heart-wrenching love story.
