My sister and I LOVE this. We both have fine, thin, straight, shoulder length hair and it works great for us, It does not tangle my hair. It gives it a nice smooth finish. It adds volume and body. It makes "curves" not curls.If I wanted a distinct curl I would use a curling iron. This is the closest result I can get to a stylist blow drying my hair with a brush. Besides, it's great for travel because you only have to pack one thing as opposed to hair dryer and curling iron. It is cool to the touch and can be immediately put away.

Don't buy this item.

I bought one when my trusty Helen of Troy look alike was starting to over heat after two years of us. I saw this on in Target and it was the identical match. It was the same wattage size shape but different color and make. I was excited because after the first use, it seemed to work the same. I then ordered two from Amazon.com . My initial VS lasted about three weeks before it started over heating and then completely dying. I opened the second one just about two weeks ago and the same symptoms: funny noise shuts off and feels very hot. I expect it to be un-usable by the end of the week. I'll open the third one and use it while I look for my trusty new Helen of Troy version. I guess I have about three weeks to make the purchase. I only use this brush for about 5 minutes a time. My hair is already dry when I wake up in the morning, I just slightly wet the ends and style.

Girls, don't be fooled by cheap imitations , and I know we're all trying to save a buck or two but in this case, it just isn't happening!

My air brush has kicked the bucket (VS432). I have been desperately searching for a replacement but usual stores no longer carry which is where I always bought it. Found a toll free order number. I would be lost without this handy tool. Some of the models have such a fat handle with the large barrel that I cannot comfortably hold while using. I like the 1-1/2" barrel but not a huge handle. I will be buying more than one so I always have one on hand from now on. Lets me dry my hair curly or straight without damaging my hair! Works better than a hair straigtener that tends to leave no body. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I found this product to be really good. I have used other products to curl my hair into what ever style I wanted, but found them to be either useless, or easy to get tangled up with. This product really doesn't tangle you up in knots.. and is very gentle on hair. I do only have shoulder length hair though, so I am not sure if tangles would be a problem with longer hair.The two heat settings are useful, and the reset button on the plug is very handy, just incase you get a bit paranoid about over-heating the brush after prolonged use. Generally, I found it to be easy to use, gentle on hair without getting to hot, and just what I was looking for, when I bought it!

I purchased one about 6yrs ago and cried when the store no longer carried the item. Mine also did the over heating but I used it for 6yrs nothing last forever. I got two this time 1 (1 inch) and 1 (1 1/2 inch). I used hairspray with mine for 6 years, so this may also be the reason it may overheating I don't know. I'm trying to limit the use of hairspray while using the new ones only time will tell. For the price it's not too expensive I paid 29.00 for the last one so 17.99 is much a better deal. If you haven't tried you should, I recommend it to everyone I know.

This is the best hot air styler on the market. I wish it was sold in stores, but as long as it's never discontinued, I'll be happy!

This is the only styler I use. I love it. The motor does wear out after a bit. I order 3 at a time because I know, after trying every other one I could find in stores, this is what I want. It's easy to use; It does NOT damage your hair; And it won't burn you. If the motor lasted longer it would be PERFECT.

My old hot air brush finally died after 20 years. So old that all the letters were rubbed off and I didn't even know what kind to replace it with. So I gambled after reading the reviews and bought this new Vidal Sasson brush. So far I love it. It is well made and performs as expected. I wish that the brush section was just and inch longer but have gotten used to it the way it is. The heat is just right, not so hot as to burn my forehead. The switch is easy to operate.

This item broke after 4 days of use. Its performance was poor even before it broke as it did not curl my hair nearly as efficiently as my European styler.

I love this product. It is fast and easy to use. My hair doesn't get tangled in it. It doesn't seem to damage my hair either. The only problem I have with it is when it overheats just one time you might as well just pitch it out and get a new one to use. It will take less and less time to overheat anytime you us it after the first time. Knowing this I try to order before I have opened my last one and I usely order at least 3 or 4 at a time.
