I bought this Vidal Sassoon Turbo Dryer about 4 years ago. It has worked great. It drys my hair fast and was cheap in price. I figured if it didn't last, I would go to another brand but it held up for years.

What I like about it: I like that it is lightweight. I like that it has a cool shot button and it isn't that noisy. I have a Conair Ionic hair dryer that is so much noiser, I couldn't use it because it could damage one's hearing, but this Vidal Sasoon one is fine. I like that you can clean the back end which will eventually get clogged with dust, like they all do, but this one you can screw off, clean and replace. I like that it has a safety cord with a button to reset should it overheat.

What I don't like about it. The cord. I hate cords that don't retract and this cord is hard to do anything with it. It is thick and bulky and gets tangled quite easily and has caused it to unplug out of the wall several times because the cord would get hung up on itself, which is what caused it to quit working. It tangled while I was blow drying my hair and pulled out of from outlet and caused the safety end plug, which is fairly heavy, to hit the sink hard. When I plugged it back in, it quit working. I tried many times to reset it but to no avail. The cord is rather short too, so besides the cord, it is a GREAT dryer. Now if they would make this model with a retractable cord that has a longer cord, WOW, that would be the perfect dryer!

If you buy this neat dryer, just remember to always keep the cord from kinking up when you are using it and it should last for years. I plan on buying another one. I have the Conair retractable cord Ionic with a folding handle as mentioned, but it being so loud, and the Vidal dryer has high heat so I can dry my hair fast. The Conair one I have never gets past warm even on high. I will stick with this Vidal Sassoon Turbo Dryer!

This model is too cheap. If you like to use the cold setting on your dryer don't buy this model; the cold setting does not get cold and has a very weak blow. The high/low/off switch is poorly engineered; it is hard to get the switch into the off position, especially with only one hand. Spend an extra couple of dollars and buy a bettter model.
