Video Catnip -- DVD,

I sure hope Amazon finds another seller for this DVD. I really wanted it but when I started to buy it and they wanted $6.95 for shipping, I said forget it. I have bought over 1700 DVDs and I have never ever had someone charge that amount for shipping. Most sellers here charge $2.98, which is fair. Since these sellers tried to be so greedy I decided to do a search and I found you can pay a little more for the DVD but get free shipping at videocatnip.com, the actual makers of the DVD. They sell it for $19.95. So although it is $3.95 higher, the shipping is free so you end up saving $2.95.

Excellent!,

This is an awesome video...my cat loves it. I have an older cat and it is hard to get his attention. I put a table in front of the TV and he sits there and paws the TV trying to catch the birds and squirrels. I thought after a while he would get bored but so far he hasn't. He climed behind the TV one time trying to see where the birds were coming from. Now every time I turn on the TV he jumps up on his table and waits for me to turn on his video.
I suggest making some other videos (maybe one with fish and one with insects or frogs or something) that way we can rotate the videos and they won't get bored watching the same ones every time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an indoor cat.

My cat loves this DVD, just don't use with a flat panel unless it's behind glass as your cat may attack the screen.

I have two cats; an active adult male siamese and a 13 week old female. Scooter, the older, could care less and watched the video only when I held him. Sasha, the kitten, loved it and almost fell off the cat tree pawing the birds.
Sasha can't get enough of it. She runs when she hears the tv click on. Good for some cats, but not all. I suspect it is the low sound level. The younger cat may have keener hearing than the older. I could barely hear it and it disappeared half way through the disk. Turning up volume only increased static. Video is a 5+. Audio a 3. Now if they only had scratch and sniff ... L

Our cat was mesmerized by this video. At the very beginning, she didn't pay much attention, but then the video showed a cardinal, and her ears perked up and her eyes grew big as saucers! She was hooked! Mostly she sat in front of the TV with her eyes glued to the screen! About five times she actually tried to climb up to the TV! She will enjoy this.... and we shall enjoy watching her!

I had this on video and was happy to find it on DVD. The old video I had was a lot better, but, you will be surprised to see your cats reaction when the birds start tweeting. I have my DVD player hooked up to the stereo and turn the volume up when I have this on. The directions say to remove everything from the top of your tv and they are right. My younger cat jumped up on the tv and was batting at the birds from the top. My other cat kept trying to get behind the tv to catch the birds.

The images in this video are terrific--exactly what cats (the ones who watch TV, anyway) like. I wish I'd known how much music there was, though, because my cat is just as stimulated by the accompanying sounds. In addition, it would have been really nice if they'd had the SOUNDS of the squirrels to go along with the video of them, instead of the same bird chirping. This one doesn't interest him nearly as much as "While You Are Gone" and if I'd known about the audio portion of it, I would have passed on it. My cat won't watch this video, but watched a PBS Nature program about crows for the full hour!

My cats absolutely LOVE this DVD. Brendan even stands by the TV waiting for me to turn it back on. It's absolutely adorable!
One thing I do not like about it, is the music playing for the first two minutes or so--you can't skip to the next chapter because there is only one chapter for the whole DVD. I usually just end up fast forwarding until the music stops and you can hear the birds and squirrels.

Purrrrrrfect!,

My indoor cat loves this video. The first time she saw it she sat far away, but she was glued to the screen. The second time I played it for about an hour and a half and she spent most of the time sitting right infront of the TV. She also got up and batted at the screen. This was great for my cat, and I hope its great for yours. However, your cat maynot be as interested if he or she is an outdoor cat.
