4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good
This is one of the best books that I've every used. I had it for 5 years and I use it all the time. it's great for beginnners, and professionals. I own my own video productions company.
I'd recomend it to anyone and everyone!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Video Production Textbook
I continue to look for a book that conveys the myriad practical details needed to put together a successful video program. I'll have to admit this is one of the best textbooks I've seen on the subject; but I continue to search for a more practical guide to the art/science of live video production.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good to the spine, August 20, 2010

I needed to purchase this book for my Television Studio class for college and you couldn't ask for a better book! Each and every chapter is packed with information and pictures to help you better understand the lessons. This book compared to some of the other relative ones blows them right out of the water! you definately have to purchase this book if you're interested in the Television basics or whatever! I wasn't really sure what to expect but each chapter is about seven-twelve pages long but it's worth it! Don't be intimidated by the size of the book because the chapters are well-constructed and they really take the time to lay out each thing for you to better understand.

It actually makes you feel like you're working right along-side the television studio crew as they prepare a live broadcast by the way the paragraphs are worded! what more could you ask for? believe me, it's definately worth the price! the used books are just the same as the new ones, it doesn't come with a cd or anything so you're not missing out. It's reccomended for anyone! If you're interested in lighting, becoming the director, stage manager, camera man, or whatever, this is the book for you! It's well worth the price! don't pass this up!
