We need put our 55 LCD in the corner of our living room. We tried a $200 wall mount from Bestbuy, but could not fit the TV into that space. The arm were too short to turn to the right position. So we have to look for other solution. A friend suggested us to use ceiling mount. But the problem was, the living room has vaulted ceiling. Luckily we found this one. The slender adjustable extension column hold our TV in the right position, and all the cables are concealed in it. The installation is easy. We did not My husband had it installed in only a few hours! Just a piece of advice, he did go to the hardware store and get heavier bolts to hang it by! We have 2 almost teenage boys and a dog in the house and I feel more secure having our TV mounted this way!

I bought this item to hang my Samsung 43" Plasma TV from the ceiling. It is very strong and sturdy. This was my first time installing a TV mount (wall or ceiling) and it was very easy. I located the ceiling stud with a stud finder, charged my drill, opened up my ladder and put it up in about an hour. (oh yeah, and I'm a girl) It comes with alot of different nuts & bolts & screws to accommodate your TV and installation type. I love that it swivels, making it visable from my kitchen, dining and living room. The only thing I would change is to add some type of cover on the top, however, I definitely recommend this product, especially for the price!

I purchased this TV mount, so I wouldn't have to drill into the block of my basement. I am very pleased with the product with minor suggestions for improvement. When that is weighed in against the cost, they will probably seem mute.
Pros: Sturdy construction and great value
Cons: Set up directions- They were not bad, but could be better put together through a step by step layout. It could also list the bolts on the QSG and which part they belong too. I would imagine most people will figure it out, but will get frustrated in the process. Then write suggestions like these.
Minimum Depth from ceiling- It worked our great for my use, but if you have a low ceiling be conscious of the dimensions.

Overall: I would recommend it, but like most imported products just needs some fine tuning to US consumers experience expectations.

The mount was exactly as advertised and I am very pleased. Shipping was fast. Installation was easy, except I had to add wood backing behind the drywall ceiling because there was no joist where I wanted to hang it. The wires are hidden inside the pipe. The product is professional quality. I would gladly do it again. Price was the best because the mount was complete and came with extensions and sloped ceiling mounting bracket.

I used this to mount my 56" LCD TV from a ceiling since the wall behind it was stone fireplace. Before ordering I was rather apprehensive about hanging it from the ceiling, and the material quality this mount may have. After unboxing this I was put slightly more at ease. It is indeed very thick, very strong steel that dominated the real cheap Chinese/ebay wall mounts I've used in the past.

The steel tubing hanging from the ceiling has an optional extension pole to give you plenty of reach from tall ceilings, with several hole slots spaced every few inches apart to give you the height adjustment. The steel tubing is hollow giving you a good place to run cords from the TV to ceiling to give it a nice clean tucked in look. It can be a bit of a pain to run any cables with large connectors, or too many cables through it, especially after the TV has been hung. You have to take the bolts out holding the two pieces of tubing together to fit the cables through if the connector is too large to push around, not really a big deal you just have to have someone present to support the TV while you do that. I managed to squeeze two HDMI cables, a power cable, a speaker cable, and an ethernet cable through the center shaft - which was a huge perk for me.

The bracket for the back of the TV mount is pretty exceptional and can probably be used as a wall mount by itself. It has tilt adjustment obviously and pretty decent locking bolts. I ended up using flat slotted steel (garage door hangers) that ran off the top and bottom of the backet, the top holds up a large center bar speaker, and the bottom holds up a kinect sensor.

The top mount part has a small foot-print, which I would highly debate if I were you trying to use it to mount solely in ceiling/drywall. Not a fault by design as much as just a few holes that close to each other in any drywall would be skeptical of the weight it could carry (depends on the size of your TV). I recommend either hitting a 2x4(6) joist or if you have to cut a small square out of the ceiling to put one between two joists, then suspend this from that.

I've had this installed for about 6months now worry free. It's a bit pricey, but I've had a few mounts half the price and the steel was half as thick. A little insurance premium for piece of mind, in my opinion. No real issues or things I'd necessarily change with it, all in all very satisfied.

was easy to install, instructions were clear and easy to follow. Very sturdy construction. We use this for our outdoor patio. easy to mount or remove the TV. We use a 47" Vizio LCD TV. the mount swings up and out of the way when not in use. I also liked the fact you can rotate the TV while mounted if need be.

Sturdy construction and supports my 90 lbs Vizio 55" TRU-LED HDTV (VF551XVT) just fine! This will help protect my investment from customer's unattended children running around my home office grabbing and smearing stuff on the screen >;(
Only issues are minor ones: The screw packs aren't labeled per the instructions, the lag bolts strip out pretty easily when using the Phillips head - Use a socket and ratchet instead when mounting to the ceiling.
Took a total of 10 days (including weekends) to finally arrive thanks to the 'Free Super Saver' shipping option..

I've mounted several brackets and did plenty of research before buying this one. Some brackets cost nearly 10 times the price and I have to say I am very pleased with this ceiling mount bracket. It's very sturdy and well made. In fact, I'm buying another for inside our house. I installed this one outside under our patio cover so we could watch a 32" TV during the summer baseball and fall football games. I wanted the following items in an outdoor ceiling mount:
1. A wide top bracket so I could go through the aluminum patio cover and have the weight distributed over a large area. This has a nice wide bracket.
2. Easy to remove the TV. With a couple turns of two screws, this TV is off the mount and back indoors.
3. Mounting for a vaulted ceiling.
4. Sturdy construction to handle the elements under a patio cover.

The only thing I didn't like about the mount was the finish. Apparently someone had scratched the down-tube but did a decent job re-painting. I would not downgrade the bracket from a score of 5 for this as you can only see the repair upon close examination. I highly recommend this bracket.
