With the prices of these things at bricks & mortar stores, I am glad I checked Amazon for less expensive alternatives. I considered going with the less expensive, single-arm mount, but decided that less is not necessarily more when you want to securely mount your TV to the wall. I chose this mount over the Cheetah dual-arm mount because it looked solid and some of the reviewers of the Cheetah mount indicated some problems with getting their TV level and indicated that some of the hardware was questionable. I had no trouble getting my TV level with this mount. I simply leveled the part of the bracket that attaches to the wall and, when I attached the TV, no adjustment was necessary. In addition, the TV, even with the mount fully extended, does not move or shake -- this mount seems very solid. The only nitpicky complaint I have is that in moving the TV in and out from the wall the movement of the mount is a little stiff (I could probably loosen some bolts, but would prefer stiff movement over loose movement that allows the TV to move with every bump or on its own -- anyway, the stiffness of movement is why I gave this product four instead of five stars).

Installation is fairly straightforward. There are two instruction sheets that I'm not even sure are necessary as installation is pretty intuitive. You also get a bag of hardware that seems pretty inclusive (three different sizes of TV mounting bolts with various spacers, concrete anchors, various screws, etc.). The mount appears like it will work with studs up to 18" apart. If your studs are in the wrong place, it's a simple matter to secure some sort of plate to allow the mount to be installed wherever you like (I used two 2x4s that I painted to match the wall, but this may not work for everyone as my TV is in a recessed nook that hides the side view of everything behind the TV).

Overall, I am very happy with this mount.

I did not go for the cheaper model offered because I was afraid it would not be sturdy enough for my 55 inch TV. But this one installed quickly and is very strong with stiff movement, which means it is quite sturdy. I would recommend it to anyone considering the purchase of this type of bracket. I saved almost $200 from the store price.

Using this to hang a 55" Samsung LED. We wanted something with a wider range of movement because it's in a large room and we wanted more options based on where people were seated, and not the standard flat-on-the-wall hanger that was offered with the TV. I guess there just needs to be something a little lighter weight for the thinner TV's because this is a very bulky bracket. It appears that it would hold a much heavier TV without any problems. Installation was simple enough, but it could use some better cord management. The included cord channels (metal U brackets that screw into arm) force the wires into a sharp angle when the bracket is pushed closer to the wall. We've left them off and just taped the cords in a gentler position. The action is VERY stiff, so trying to adjust the tilt and L/R can be tricky because the tv is so thin and requires alot of pressure be placed on the area the TV is mounted to the bracket. We've had this hung for about a year with no other issues.
