Hardware seems to be fine, but we now have nearly a week invested in trying to get the included software to run properly (still no luck). VideoSecu has been worthless, finally formally giving up by saying they won't support the software at all and we're on our own. Manuals are written in English by non-English-speaking writers and they are a nightmare. For instance, once you change settings in one area there is no option to save those settings. Hours later we accidentally figured out that they labelled the "save settings" button as "setup". The software and manuals are riddled with this crap. Our advice is to find a company with a full support structure and a history of support. You'll be glad you did.

I have the model that comes with the 1TB HDD and I am very satisfied with the unit. It is well built, and does pretty much everything I would want I have 4 security cameras connected to the DVR which can be viewed individually or as a group of four. With the 1TB hard drive, I am able to record over 3 weeks of video data. Truly a great deal.
