I have 4 of these cameras hooked to my Night Owl FS-84500. These are great cameras for the price. I love the wide angle view. The night vision is great. Pretty easy to install. I will buy more of these in the future. The video shows the night vision of this camera. I have these cameras hooked to a Night Owl FS84-500. This is not the camera that comes with the night owl. I bought these as an upgrade. I also added a microphone for audio.

About a year ago I bought a low-end 4-camera security system. 2 of the cameras have failed so far and a third one was starting to have problems. Since I'm near the end of my warranty, I decided to try a different brand for a replacement.

This one is fantastic - I had to go outside after dark to be sure I didn't leave the lights on! It is so good that I just ordered another to keep on hand.

Also, the field of vision is very wide and shows most of my back yard from the single camera.

As an added bonus, I was able to use the mounting brackets and the wiring from my Q-See unit without any adapters.

This is the second camera I bought from this seller. It does a great job at night. It shows you black and white images at night, thanks to it's 30 infrared LEDs. I used it in my front yard to see who is passing by, and recorded the outside to my DVR and the quality was great.

Video uploaded was from an event captured in the daylight. Wish amazon would allow two videos to be posted so I can include both day/night footage. I have the video quality set at D1 using Night Owl Scorpion 168500 DVR which I have a total of 7 cameras splitting 240fps@CIF you can do your own math for D1 setting. The original night owl cameras (which lacked true color/missing green&yellow??) that came with system sucked so these were excellent upgrades. Anyway love the extended wide angle view I have two of these two cover the both sides of the front yard and one on the door to get a close up facial recognition of anyone who enters through front door.

Bought this camera, after one of my Lorex cameras (from QLR464 kit) stopped working. Both cameras have 3.6 mm lens. During day I couldn't see image quality difference between VisdeoSecu and Lorex. The field of view (FOV) was significantly bigger (I guess it is about 90 degrees diagonal) for VideoSecu. This was expected for larger CCD sensor (1/3 versus 1/4 for Lorex). VideoSecu night image is much better than that of Lorex. Of course, it is still grainy, but noise is much less and more details are noticeable. I think that VideoSecu is a great camera for $40.

Ordered this for paranormal investigations to go along with a DVR also ordered through this company.

Easy to set up, basically just plug and play, and was transmitting video immediately. Had a minor issue with a tiny screw that is used to tighten the base to the camera. The unit shipped with a very small allen wrench and the only part of the camera I could imagine it was for was to loosen this screw. I was unable to get the allen wrench to loosen this screw so I contacted the seller who wrote back immediately stating to loosen that screw I needed to use a small jewelers screw driver and that it should not have come with the allen wrench. Using a small jewelers flat head I was easily able to loosen the screw and get the base onto the camera.

The unit is constructed very well. Made almost entirely of metal. Night vision kicks on automatically and camera has a very wide-field of view even in a small area. Still haven't tested in zero light conditions but from all indications this is such a good camera I ordered a second one already.

This camera was bought as a replacement for outdoor monitoring. I have to say i am pretty impressed with what i got for the price! The daytime picture and color are beautiful, halfway between hd and standard quality tv images, overall great picture. The nightvision blew my previous Q-see cam out of the water. I'm not saying this has superior nightvision, i am simply stating that it is absolutely above average and should be suffcient for most monitoring/security purposes. If you live in a lit up area at night, expensive models are certainly not needed. I live in a development with one street light down the road and i can still identify makes and models of passing cars and can see a fair image of people walking by. Will i spend more next time and get better nightvision? Yes! However this particular camera would be my first choice for daytime, light to moderately lit areas, and/or front door/driveway monitoring. In dark areas i could use a slightly better model with more IR's. Regardless this is an excellent camera!!!

This little camera has an excellent view in the dark at almost 0 light the only light I had was the light from my computer screen and i was able to see almost everything in my room. The colors are not that good at day time but one can see a clear face even in the dark. Surprisely the sound quality is also excellent and I can hear outside clearly. For this price I think I'll buy a couple more, recommend it to anyone.

This camera works great until now, easy to setup and solid metal case suitable for outdoor camera. The most impressive feature was the infrared night vision. These are able to illuminate the entire field of vision, something that other infrared cameras have failed to do.

This is a great product for the money! I searched several cameras and I am extremely pleased with the construction and quality of this product. Day and night quality and view is perfect for recording activity around your home or business.
