Bought this mount for our 80" Sharp. Was skeptical when I purchased, but the price could not be beat. This mount is everything advertised. Is very sturdy and was very easy to install. Comes with plenty of hardware for different ways to mount. A good buy.

If you are trying to mount an 80 inch Sharp, this mount won't work that well. The 80LE757U bolts are 24 inches apart. With both (2) brackets connected total width is 32 inches. The problem is depending on what is center on your wall ....you can only hit 2 studs leaving in my case over 45% of the total bracket not anchored in. With the size of the 80 inch, the unsecured part of the bracket started to pull away from the wall. Needless to say, we pulled it backdown and now looking for options. Also, lock both bolts for the tilting mechanism while on the floor..the pure weight of the set and next to no space behind the TV once mounted, will not allow you to adjust once mounted. Would have been better off if VideoSecu would have included 3 brackets for total width of 48 inches and the ability to hit 3 studs! Recommend you not buy this or wait for the 2 for 1 special to get the extra bracket.

I purchased a 70 Sharp TV and needed a nice wall mount to mount it on. This is a great mount and a great price for it. Would recommend to purchase from.

Awesome price. Easy to install on the wall. Only thing is I could not reach the bolts to secure it once it was hung. Had to rig it so to speak. Other than that a good buy.

It does the job, but installation was has a significant flaw.
Once we finally got this installed, I was impressed with how close to the wall my tv sits.

Noticed two design issues, one minor, the other a signficicant annoyance:
1. When the two plates the the tv hangs off of, are screwed together, they bend slighly backward. Not a real issue once you have the new larger plate screwed against the wall. Just thought this was a design/workmanship issue. The two plates should screw together and form a larger plate that lies flat on a table, not bulges upwards. Doesn't affect final result or appearance, however

And now the annoying part:

2. The final step requires tightening two philips head screws on the lower part of the two vertical mount bars (that attach to the back of your tv). These screws must be tightened after the tv is mounted on the wall (i.e. hooked over the wall plate). The screws prevent the bottom of the mount bars pulling away from the tv. The big hang-up, is that, given the small amount of space between the wall and the TV, there is no way to reach the screws with anything other than an 12-24" screw driver (depending on the size of your tv). Some people will have access to a 12"-ish screw driver which will make this a non-issue. However, I needed to jury-rig together an approximately 18" screwdriver (attached philips bit to fiberglass push rod (fishing pull/push kit) with electrical tape. I suspect, anyone trying to mount an 80" TV would need an almost 24" screwdriver.
I've seen other tv mounts include the required tool (e.g. 18" allen wrench) for tightening screws. I'd recommend the manufactuer include such a tool (philips or allen, depending on screw). Probably would get five stars if they did. I knocked off two stars for having to overcome such an obvious issue. I give it five stars for everything after the install.

The inclusion of an hdmi cable and level was nice, however I didn't need either. Good for some people, but others already have the bubble level and have enough hdmi cables (kind of like having extra red/white/yellow RCA cables these days). HDMI cables can be acquired for relatively cheap (e.g. monoprice or amazon).

nuff said.

The back plate installed easily across two studs. In this case the studs were on each side of center, however, the back plate would have fit over two offset studs (assuming, of course, that the studs were a standard 16-inches apart.) after attaching the bars on the back of the TV, two persons lifted the 145 lb. TV and mounted it quickly onto the back plate, adjusted the tilt, and then locked the setting without any other tools.

It also came with a high-speed HDMI cable and a bubble level. An assortment of metric screws for attaching the back plates, to most any TV, were also included. The only change I made to the installation, was to supply bigger (5/16") lag screws, because of the TV weight. The mounting holes in the back plate accommodated the bigger lags without enlarging the holes.

The only disadvantage to the wall mount, is that one cannot get to some of the inputs once the TV is mounted to the wall. I recommend attaching all of the cables, even if you don't know if you'll be using them, before lifting the TV onto the mount: HDMI, optical cable, DVD composite, LAN, etc.

Overall, the mount does what its main directive is- to mount the TV. I have an 80" Sharp 844, and this fits nicely.

One of the issues is with the tilt; it seems the only viable option is to either have it flat, or have it tilted. You can't reach behind the TV to loosen the screw in order to adjust the tilt. If you try to tighten the screw just enough so you can still adjust it, the TV is likely to be too heavy to stay in the flat position. As a result, my TV is always in the titled position. Not really all that bad though.
