4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but provided wall anchors are poor
The VESA mount and provided screws for several sizes of monitors work great. Overall construction is good.

The included drywall anchors however, are cheap and mine started pulling out of the wall almost immediately. I had to disassemble the whole thing, drill out the failing anchors, and replace them with butterfly anchors, and now it works great. I can't...

3.0 out of 5 stars Glad to have this item!!!
This is a very sturdy product if you screw it into the beams of your wall. The main thing I don't like about it is the plastic covers it uses to make it "look" good. They are flimsy and you definitely cannot place all the wires you need to fit into them.

I can't fault the product itself, but it's these little details that make for a poor experience of a very good product.

If I had the option of mounting this directly onto a support stud, I'd have gone that route.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK Product for the Price... but only for TVs under 30 Pounds!!!, December 8, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Pros: Easy to install. Plastic covers hide the cables, although they are a little flimsy. Cons: Lots of bend in the metal arms from the weight of my 39 pound, 26 inch, TV. Unit doesn't have a clock-wise/counter clock-wise rotation for the TV, so there is no adjustment for the bend in the arms. The bend in the arms also prevents the plastic covers from staying in place when swing the arms out. Mounting holes did not match up with my TV. I wouldn't recommend this wall mount for TVs over 30 pounds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Buy!, September 30, 2007

This is a great product! You can feel it's very well built, very strong. It can hold weight above average in its category, (shop around and compare). Very easy to install and it looks much more expensive that it really is. I live in Puerto Rico and it arrived earlier than expected (just 3 days). I could not tell from the pics but you can hide the cables inside its plastic cover (great plus if you like clean looks).

It does have an optional screw if you are screwing it into a beam. However, when I used it, it scratched the outside cover, so I had to remove it.

Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it because my tv is now hanging on the wall.

3.0 out of 5 stars You'll probably need to buy hardware to mount this., April 18, 2008

(REAL NAME)
The description isn't really clear about this mount, neither are the instructions. It is a pretty sturdy bracket that has plastic pieces to cover the workings, but they don't stay on too well. Black electrical tape remedies this problem.
The hardware to mount this to the wall only works if you attach to a wall stud or into concrete. If you hang it on drywall or plaster only you'll be heading to the hardware store to get some mollys or other type of fasteners (only use this method if your TV is small and light). The screws included to mount the TV to the bracket were too short for my application, and may be for yours also. I could only get a thread or two into the TV, and thats not enough. So you'll need a bit longer screws.
The thumbscrew that sets tension for tilt (up and down) is hard to tighten due to location and the slot is a little too wide, so the TV slants a little to the left or right. Once the screw is tightened to prevent this, the TV won't tilt.
Other than that, it works fine.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for anywhere fancy. They needed to do some more work., July 26, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: VideoSecu LCD Monitor Flat Screen Plasma TV Tilt&Swivel Wall Mount Black Color M62 (Office Product)
I bought one of these mounts to go with the flat screen tv that I bought for the kitchen. Of all the many many things we bought for the job (we started without even walls) This was easily the most disappointing for us. We had to replace the hardware, as we note others said. That's OK, as we expected to do some of that. By the time we were all done, that TV got installed 7 different times, each time trying to improve what should have been easy and good looking.
The arm articulates fairly well, but it is held in place with a lockwasher so it doesn't change directions. The arm is covered with 3 pair of plastic covers to improve the looks. And, for that reason, they are necessary as without them it looks like a "my first welding class" take-home to the parents project. Trust me, you'd rather the take-home ashtray with an impression of your hand, if you can. Even if you do not smoke.
This plastic shell has thin plastic tabs, etc to hold the parts together and thet seem to be easily broke. In addition, the metal arms and hardware blocks the only possible route for running any cable, even a power cable, through the plastic shell. Perhaps you shouldn't run them through the shell. If so, why the exit hole at the TV end? The wall mount part of the base has two holes as the only place to route those cables through the base, but then the route is blocked by the middle part. In use, the length of wires needed for the arm to straighten out leaves an ugly loop of cable showing below the screen. Like I said, my biggest disappointment in the whole kitchen. If I could find a replacement that would cover the holes in the cabinet I would. In a minute.
After a mental hiccup that caused me to continue trying to make it work, I wound up not only making mounting holes but also cutting these holes for the wires to make it to the tv from the cabinet. The cabinet I had just finished making out of oak. If I hadn't done that, this would be going back long ago.
Now, instead of having people make me proud of the work I put into making the cabinet, I try to keep people from looking behind the tv, although its a losing battle.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad Product!, January 30, 2009
I was unsatisfied with this product, the wall mount that I purchased was not what I expected. Althoug my LCD TV is mounted by this wall mount, the process was long and difficult. The instructions that came with the product where not detailed at all. Also the screws that came with the product did not fit my TV, I had to buy them seperatley, the first time the TV was mounted was unsuccessful, the wall mount came of my wall and left a hole. I had to build an extra support so that the mount would not come off and also the screws that came to mount the wall mount to the wall were unable to support my tv even though the tv was under the max weight. At the end, when it was up and ready, I sat down and was agitated because the tv tilted to the left but just left it the way it was. What can I say, I paid for a $26.00 wall mount and that is what I got.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite nice!, November 19, 2008

Quite nice. I especially like the way the arms work and their length. I am also quite pleased with the overal appearence. My only complaints are that the tilt adjustment is not easy to change, and the wire control could be larger to hold the cable and the power cord. Still it is a very functional unit for the pre.

These were a great price..I should have known. I bought 2. The fit was so bad they were unusable...the monitor would not stay and tilted sideways. Maybe I can use them to hold a cookbook.
