Ordered this to mount a flat screen on the wall at the foot of my bed, hoping it would be almost flush with the wall. I was a little hesitant to purchase this because of the price ($9.99 when they go for $50-$150 in stores). It arrived today, I had the TV installed in about 20min. Quality was excellent, directions were perfect, and it came with 5-6 different sizes of screws so it should fit the mounting holes for most TV's. Best of all, it was a really slim design and fit perfectly against the wall. I was extremely happy and will buy one of these again if the need arises. It is an EXCELLENT DEAL!

I purchased this mount back in December and it has held up great so far! The only complaint that I have about the whole package is the screws, if the screws are too long for your TV you have to use the spacers that are provided or cut the screws to a shorter length yourself. I was too lazy to cut them at the time I mounted them and kind of regret not doing it because the TV isn't too low profile anymore. Its around the same thickness as a tilting wall mount without the perk of tilting. The TV locks onto its bracket super easy, I did the whole job myself with a 40 inch sony being mounted but having an extra set of hands wouldn't hurt the process. Overall its a great buy and would recommend it to anybody looking for an inexpensive, however not cheaply made product. But cut those screws or it won't be low profile which is why you ordered it in the first place! I will try to upload pictures if I'm able to figure it out. I hope this helped!

Didn't quite know what to expect since this wall mount is much cheaper than what you can get at a store. Overall it is plenty strong to hold my TV, so I'm satisfied with it. If your TV uses a 400 mm x 400 mm (about 16 inches)mounting screw spacing, you won't have much side to side adjustability with this mount, as it is itself only about 19" wide. Also since this mount uses two studs, if your studs are spaced wider than 16" you should look elsewhere. The plastic, and easily removable, "decorative end caps" in the manufacturer's picture appear to be the only thing keeping the TV from sliding right off the mount when you try to adjust the TV location side to side, so be careful. I tried to center the TV on our wall after installing it, and almost dropped the whole thing. Would not be worth breaking a brand new TV to save a few bucks on the mount, but now that I realize how the end caps are constructed it shouldn't be an issue.

I bought this bracket because of the price - I just couldn't justify spending a ton of money on a piece of metal that I'll never see. I used this to mount my 42" Vizio LCD 3D TV.

Full disclosure - While working as an electrical contractor, I professionally installed countless TVs and worked with everything from the most expensive mounts to the cheapest (this one). I do have a good bit of experience installing these but it's not totally required.

Regarding the price, this is what a TV mount SHOULD cost. Brackets seem to fall into the same category as HDMI cables - for some reason companies can get away with charging way, way more than they're worth. When I saw the price of this bracket, I finally caved so I could mount my own TV.

Installation was simple. Some people claim that it's too narrow and can't always be attached to two studs. You don't need to! I placed the bracket exactly where it needed to be, which happened to have a stud somewhere in the middle. I used the heavy-duty bolts (be sure to drill pilot holes first) to secure the bracket to the stud in the middle and used two heavy-duty drywall anchors for each end of the bracket, just for good measure. The anchors I used were rated at 79 lbs EACH, so four of them with two huge bolts into a stud, that thing isn't going anywhere. I just needed to use a few washers to keep the anchor heads from slipping through the bracket mounting holes.

The bracket has a level built-in, which is nice. It also came with a cutesy spare level which you can use in a pinch if you don't have a better one. Levelling and mounting it was really easy.

I had two issues while mounting this TV, one of which was easily resolved, the other, not so much.

I bought two of these and one Pyle for my new home. The fact that the mounting bracket runs across the middle of the TV means that you have to mount the TV higher or lower than any electrical or HDMI outlets that might be on your wall and the bracket may get in the way of cords.

Also, as another reviewer pointed out, this system assumes that your studs are 16" apart. In my home built less than a year ago, the one set of studs I was trying to mount to were 17" apart and this system instantly became useless. I bought the other system from Pyle, which accommodated for wider studs and had a few other advantages.

Bottom line: great system, does the job, good quality; but beware that it may be a bit awkward depending on your situation for cables, outlets and the studs in your walls.

Pros:

- Affordable
- easy to install (if it works as intended...see notes below)
- includes plenty of screws for different TVs

Cons:

- TV can slide sideways after it's mounted (probably a planned feature, but I'd have more peace of mind if it didn't move)
- unable to install on my TV without some manual modifications

Notes: So I got this for an 42" LED TV and while it was ok for installing, I could not connect any of the cables once it was mounted because my TV has the cables sticking out the back, and the mount makes the TV stay pretty close to the wall. I ended up having to cut some PVC pipes to keep it further apart from the wall (this is on top of the plastic separators the mount comes with, which only gives you a 1/2 inch extra distance form the wall)

In other words, if your TV has back facing cables, I'd be careful before buying this mount. Otherwise, go for it.
