This review is from: VideoSyncrasies, The Motion Graphics Problem Solver (DVD)
A perfect buy for all desktop video people which especially use adobe after effects for motion graphics at broadcast and film area. These hints will save your life to correct output your work to broadcast or network. Also technical informations help you to match your work to other professional services-studios and video professionals.
A little bit expensive but it has a lot of moneybox tips to get it back...It's not a after effect course but a "musthave" companion for all after effects courses such as the books from same authors - Chris & Trish Meyer

4.0 out of 5 stars Why it's the money tape, March 15, 2000

Videosynchrasies is a great two tape set that is very well worth the price of admission. I'ts full of the type of information that you don't get without being on the job day in and day out in the video and motion graphics business. This set is ideal for the video artist making the leap from amateur to professional, or for the busy professional that needs only select information. Full of tips and tricks such as proper settings of a program, integrating computers to video and and alpha channels. Don't wait to buy this set, Videosynchracies has just saved me time and money. Included with the set is a handy reference sheet that tells you what topic is discussed at any point in the tape. This 3 1/2 hour set is a must have for beginner to advanced artist.

4.0 out of 5 stars Full of great secrets and tips, November 17, 2001

This is an excellent set of tapes. They don't teach you how use motion graphic software and are intended for people who are already familiar with the tools. The tapes deal mostly with the Adobe combination of Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator, but the concepts can be applied to any similar-type programs. And this is what the tapes teach- valuable concepts, not nifty & useless filters, but clever and clearly defined solutions to common and important motion graphic diffuculties.

There are sections about field order, alpha channel types and interprations, mixing 3D with 2D and how best to render. Most of the informaiton pretains to broadcast diffuculties. There's little filler; the tapes run through a large range of topics at a steady pace. Definately recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Instruction from The Experts, October 10, 2007
This is THE video tutorial for motion graphics from renowned experts Chris and Trish Meyer, authors of several best selling books on motion graphics and Adobe After Effects. As far as I know, it's the only real educational sampling of this type of work they have offered.

This video isn't really for beginners, but all the same, it's not a mix of tutorial lessons leading to expert level work either. It's mostly for covering nuts and bolts of making great motion graphics on a day in and day out basis that you'll use and apply to all other kinds of designs making your work look great.

The video was produced a few years ago, but despite being a little dated, the age doesn't matter so much because the principles the Meyers are teaching you are sound and true methods from the relatively basic aspects of alpha channels to some very complex travel matte work, pre-composing multiple compositions, and file export rules.

All of Chris and Trish's books are raved about in the motion graphics community, and here's a great chance to see them in action, and why they are so respected world wide.
