I just received this CD today and have listened to it several times through already. I was very impressed with the musicianship, the song writing and singing. There are a few songs on here that are written by Nelda Balfa, Christine Balfa and Dirk Powell and they are very good and tell some good stories. Of course I had to look at the English translation to understand them because I don't speak French but that's ok. There are also songs from some of the old masters of Cajun music, such as: Dennis McGee, Dewey Balfa(Christine and Nelda's dad), Abe Manuel and Shirley Bergeron. I would recommend this for any Cajun music lover.

This isn't as polished as their later album, _La Pointe_, but they are still an excellent band. None of the screechy fiddle that people think of when they think of American old-time and Cajun music. Really nice recording.
