About the Author

Jacques Nepote is a researcher at the Centre National de Recherches Scientifiques in Paris. He is the author of Indochine (Editions Olizane). Xavier Guillaume, born in Vietnam, lectures on contemporary Vietnam at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, Paris. After a ten year career organizing tours to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, Anita Sach now works freelance, writing travel hrochures, updating guidebooks and leading tour groups in Vietnam. Photographer Sarah Lock has photographed extensively in Vietnam, India, China, Tibet and Nepal. She currently lives in the UK, continuing to deal with photographs through her work in graphic design.
