From Booklist
Gr. 5-8. Like other titles in the familiar Visual Geography series, this isn't a book to read from cover to cover. However, it is one students will find useful for country reports. The text is organized by the broad categories of geography, history and government, people and economy; and terminology that some researchers may find challenging is defined within the context of the chapters. While the text is clear, readable and up to date (for instance, the recent lifting of the U.S. economic embargo is mentioned), the use of dated sources for a few of the maps and charts is perplexing. There are numerous black-and-white and color photographs and reproductions. Julie Corsaro
