~Fantastic ~,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Vietnam War: What Are We Fighting For? (American War Series) (Library Binding)
If you have never seen a bloody place or ever heard guns shooting day and night, this is a book that you could understand more about war. This book talks about the Vietnam War during 1961-1973, when United States wants to take over Vietnam. I am Vietnamese so I really like learning about Vietnam's history. I like this book because there are pictures of Vietnam leaders like Ho Chi Minh, and some of the Vietnamese view. There are some really good facts about how the United States soldiers went in Vietnam and tried to take over. I recommend this book because this is a great book about Vietnam's history especially for those who like learning about history. I think that every kid now should know that we are all very lucky because we are not born during the war.

My 8th grade son and I both read this book and found it to be an excellent history of the Vietnam War. It is easy to read and only 7 chapters but it is very thorough and interesting. We both learned alot and enjoyed it very much. We look forward to reading the other books in the American War Series.
