My sister and her husband bought this toy for my 3 1/2 year old daughter who loves Dora! It's very easy for her to work by herself. The binoculars really do work pretty well for a child's toy. It's very durable too (as we've dropped it many times with no bad effects). My daughter loves that she can wear it around her neck or over her shoulder with the attached string (that's really more like a small rope in thickness). The 3D reel case will hold a few more reels than the three it comes with. Overall this is a great toy and worth the money. Also, all standard Viewmaster reels work in this.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter. She loves Dora and I think that View Master is a classic toy from my childhood. I also bought other pcks of reels to go with it (Spongebob & Fairly Odd Parents). She loves it and the reels case makes it easier to travel with. The only problem I have with it is that it's too bulky for 3 year old hands. She can hold it, but not pull the lever at the same time. You also have to push te lever completly, until it clicks in order to turn the reel. We also like the binoculars, but you have to adjust the lenses just right in order for her to see out of them.

This is a really great toy. Although it is just as low-tech as ever, the binocular shape makes it very cool looking and the slides are extremely durable. Not only that it is a Dora toy that doesn't talk so we can take it with us when we travel and it is isnot annoying everyone else! With all of the hysteria over the Dora house and I must admit that I thought that my daughter would love the house more, I think that this toy was seriously overlooked.

What looks like a cute idea turns out to be a big headache. The binoculars are difficult to see through. You constantly struggle with double vision in both the binoculars and viewmaster. And it's hard for younger ones to keep it in one mode without accidentally hitting the switch.

I bought this for my daughter's third birthday gift. We were having a Dora themed party and need of another pair of binoculars - the viewmaster was an added bonus. She loves them! She looks out the window to see what see can spy, she also loves checking out her favorite Dora episodes with just a flick of the switch!

Bought this for our granddaughter's third birthday. She is into everything Dora, so this had quite a bit of positive emotional equity going for it. She loves it, but probably uses the View Master option more than the binoculars. That said, she has had a great time watching backyard squirrels with the binoculars.It is NOT a toy that you hand to small children and tell them to go play with it. It takes some instruction and supervision; given that, it combines the attraction that View Master has enjoyed for decades along with the wonder of binoculars. Great educational toy.
