I always love guitar with nature sounds. These are magnificent night scenes. "Spanish Plain" is beautiful Latin and the whole album is thrilling

I bought this CD because my wife and I loved the cuts we previewed. The CD that arrived has the same cover image and the same list of 12 tracks as the page on Amazon states, but when we listened to it, none of the cuts are the same. It is guitar music, but is fast and has synthesizer and other jangly sounds - not at all the soothing sound of what we heard in the previews. We believe that the label was printed on the wrong CD at the manufacturer.

One part bluegrass, one part soundtrack, this effort is more for atmospheric fans than guitar fans.More intent on setting a mood than presenting memorable melodies, it's easy-going, non-challenging background music with a couple of highlights that made the CD worth purchasing: The Spanish Plain and The Prairie's Edge. A quiet Sunday morning, a cup of coffee, and this CD. . . good start to the day. I would love to see him explore more melodic ideas -- but this shows promise. |
