Sleek & Simple,

This review is from: ViewSonic DP701W4WH 7-Inch Wide Digital Picture Frame (Electronics)
I bought this digital picture frame as a gift for some friends. It was a huge hit and has become a conversation piece at their home. I love the fact that it takes all size memory cards and it has a nice, sleek, modern look. The internal memory is great. It makes it so easy to download pictures from cameras right away. It takes a few minutes to get use to the control buttons, but then it's pretty simple to use.

love this frame. Has great picture with many different download options. Problem is, I found it very hard to download. It may not be the product, but user problem, but I'm usually pretty good with computers.

This review is from: ViewSonic DP701W4WH 7-Inch Wide Digital Picture Frame (Electronics)
Bought this product based on the ViewSonic brand and positive prior experience with their products. The frame looks nice, sleek and modern. I'm not sure it ever operated without the plug in the unit. If so, it would only hold a charge for a matter of minutes. Once I figured out that you can only put 50 or so pictures in the root directory of an SD card, we had a multitude of great pictures to enjoy.
This was used at my wife's office and she received many compliments on the frame and it's contents. End positive feelings. She brought the frame home a few times because it had stopped working. A quick hit of the reset button started the pictures back in display. That may have happened too often to forgive now that the unit will not display anything. Tech support suggested a quicker hit of the power button and using the resent button. Beyond that they suggested finding a local repair shop to fix it since it was beyond warranty. That won't work since I could buy 2 new ones for an hour of labor at most any shop. Buyer beware. Not sure if my experience is unique as all other reviews seem to be immediately after purchase, where I would have written the same thing. 8 months old and in the trash. |
