Great monitor for the price,
By Scarabei (Falls Church, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: ViewSonic E90FB 19" Perfect Flat CRT Monitor (Electronics)
I had this monitor for 3 years now and have not had a single problem with it. It plays games well, has good picture quality (not ultra sharp or ultra bright though), and does a good job of displaying CAD applications. I never had a problem with Viewsonic and have faith in their products. Also do not be fooled by negative reviews. After all it is usually the people who have a problem with a product that have the urge to complain and bad-mouth it.

Great Service,
By Rodney DeBalko (Freeland, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: ViewSonic E90FB 19" Perfect Flat CRT Monitor (Electronics)
I purchased the ViewSonic E90fb and was very pleased with the monitor. The picture started to get narrow and the horzintal width was finally set at 100%. I called the company explained my problem and they sent me a new monitor and I shipped the bad one back. No hasseles and they paid for shipping both ways. Great product and great service

Slight misnomer & great disappointment,
This review is from: ViewSonic E90FB 19" Perfect Flat CRT Monitor (Electronics)
Although the words "Perfect Flat" are part of its designation, the viewing screen of this CRT is not flat; The top glass is flat, but the tube underneath is slightly but annoyingly curved. This cannot be corrected even with its (generous) manual controls. I do photographic and image work and for higher viewing accuracy, flatter is better; You don't want your image trailing off at the edges! I also agree with the other reviewer: This monitor is not as bright or sharp as it seems it should be, especially since it's called a "Graphic Series" monitor. Although they're more expensive, I'll look for a true Trinitron next time.
FEB 2007 UPDATE - - This reviewed monitor has given up the ghost; Even after adjusting, re-calibrating, rebooting, and all the regular "fixes", this CRT's sharpness, brightness, color, and definition have all deteriorated to an unacceptable, unusable level. I'm left with a fuzzy blob after less than 2 years' use. Star rating was 3 stars, now one star (one for having "worked" for about 1 year after purchase new.)
