The G810 from ViewSonic is a 21-inch (20-inch viewable image size) CRT monitor that delivers both quality and affordability. A maximum resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 combines with a fine 0.21 mm dot pitch (0.25 mm diagonal) to provide detailed images suitable for a wide variety of home and business needs. The anti-glare screen treatment helps cut back on harmful reflections and the resulting eyestrain, while SuperClear screen technology (featuring an enhanced phosphor treatment) helps provide rich, vivid colors.
TCO '99 and Energy Star certified, the G810 connects to your computer via a 15-pin mini D-sub port and is a "plug and play" ready, right out of the box. With the onscreen controls, you can adjust a wide variety of monitor settings including tilt, pincushion, brightness, contrast, H/V position, H/V size, color temperature, display frequency, and much more. An OSD lock function lets you guard your monitor settings against accidental change, while the Viewmatch feature lets you adjust color temperature for accurate color matching when printing. An optional USB hub is supported. PC and Mac compatible, the G810 also comes backed with a three-year limited warranty on both parts and labor.

Bought mine in early 1997. Almost 9 years old now. Still works great. Originally connected to a Mac Clone. Now to my G4 MDD Power Mac. Bright & Sharp. Glad to see these are still available. Will buy again whenever mine dies.

I have had 3 of these monitors now and they all seem to die after about 1.5 years. For the first 2 monitors, I was able to get a warranty replacement, but you either have to pay $70 for shipping or try to find a service center. When I shared my experiences with others in the industry, they have said that they have had the same experience w/the monitors dying. It is really bothersome because the intial clarity, color and resolution is so nice on the G810. I just can't afford to replace them every year or so.

I had this monitor for 6 years. It worked great, looked great, everyone who saw it wanted one. Last night it died : (. It was acting funny during the day, flickering and stuff. It made some really weird sounds and went black. I was talking on the phone and ignored it, then I smelled it. It was glowing orange inside and everything was melting (I assume, from the smell). I'm sad. I loved my monitor.
