Bought mine in early 1997. Almost 9 years old now. Still works great. Originally connected to a Mac Clone. Now to my G4 MDD Power Mac. Bright & Sharp. Glad to see these are still available. Will buy again whenever mine dies.

I have had 3 of these monitors now and they all seem to die after about 1.5 years. For the first 2 monitors, I was able to get a warranty replacement, but you either have to pay $70 for shipping or try to find a service center. When I shared my experiences with others in the industry, they have said that they have had the same experience w/the monitors dying. It is really bothersome because the intial clarity, color and resolution is so nice on the G810. I just can't afford to replace them every year or so.

I had this monitor for 6 years. It worked great, looked great, everyone who saw it wanted one. Last night it died : (. It was acting funny during the day, flickering and stuff. It made some really weird sounds and went black. I was talking on the phone and ignored it, then I smelled it. It was glowing orange inside and everything was melting (I assume, from the smell). I'm sad. I loved my monitor.

I've had this monitor for over 11 years now. At the time I spent months determining what brand had the best displays and then once I found this I sucked it up to foot the $550 on it. I was an architecture major and thus a quality display was very important.

I'm *still* using this monitor. It still has comparable or better specifications than a lot of the LCDs on the market today (dot pitch, refresh rate (~0ms), color accuracy). The only downside is the maximum resolution (compared to today's standards of 1920x1080 and higher) and the contrast ratio.

This product is iconic for "you get what you pay for" and I'm a pretty big fan now of Viewsonic for it.

If you don't mind the large size, this monitor delivers a crystal clear picture on an adjustable base. This is a superior monitor that is designed for graphic users. Viewsonic is still one of the best manufacturers of CRTs.

I ordered this monitor and got a different one the ordered. it was an intergraph 21sd95. DOn't know what happened.
