This projector attracted me because of the price for the brightness. I guess you get what you pay for. In long years' past I had good luck with ViewSonic products and with their warranty service but no longer. This is the worst projector I've ever owned and ViewSonic has treated me terribly about it.

I've owned it for about 18 months and only put about 300 hours on it. In that time it's broken twice. The first time was at our organization's biggest conference. ViewSonic would not express ship me a replacement even when I offered to pay for it because they said they simply don't have any of this exact model. I offered to pay the price difference, they still refused.

Even when it was working, it would never focus quite right and was always a little "buggy" on startup (not always starting up on the first try).

When I got back I sent the projector in and it took them 4 weeks to "fix" it. I used it for 2 weeks and it broke again in exactly the same way. This time they've had it for another 2 weeks so far and I've heard nothing.

Having broken twice now in two critical situations, none of my staff will trust this projector on a trip anymore. It's almost pointless to even keep it. A complete waste of $850. After it broke the second time I demanded a replacement with like or similar model, ViewSonic just said "no". They do not stand by their products and they do not care about customer service. I will never buy another ViewSonic product of any kind.

Beware, this projector is being advertised as being 1080p capable. This is not true. I have yet to get a response from Amazon to resolve this situation.
