ViewSonic VE155 15" LCD Monitor

I bought two of these monitors more than year ago. They work great and the display is very bright. In fact, I liked this 15" monitor more than my 17" Philips monitor because the display is so much clearer and brighter.

As an aside, stay away from 17" LCD monitors. Because they run at a higher resolution but they aren't significantly bigger, your text will appear smaller on a 17" LCD than on a 15". If you want bigger than 15", go with a Viewsonic 19".

I bought this ViewSonic to replace an old Dell D1728D-LS
CRT that measures 16"X18"X17" and weighs about 45 pounds.
The ViewSonic screen is about 14"X11"X2" with a 9"X6" base,
and only weighs about 9 pounds! Setup is quick and easy.
Nice color and resolution. Price was good, too. I've had
the monitor for about a month now, and I'm very pleased
with my purchase.

I bought the black version of this monitor, and it is fantastic (VE155b). Very bright display, excellent contrast, very realisitic color for and LCD. Nice refresh rate for an LCD as well. I recommend it!

I agree with other reviewers in that the VE155 is a very nice monitor. It's extremely bright, in fact, so bright that I had to set it to 25% of its brightness level in order to have it match my laptop screen at 100% brightness! The only complaint is that after my computer is asleep and the monitor comes back to life it can look blurry. Pressing the Auto Adjust fixes it but it's still a bit of a pain. It's only done it a few times in a week of use but it definitely is a welcome addition to my desk. Thanks little parrots!

I have to say WOW.

It has the same quality I expected from a LCD TFT monitor but with the refresh rate of a CRT. I play lots of first person shooter games and not once did I see any problems with refresh rates or quality.

It's ultra light, ultra compact, and very easy on the eyes.

Excellent monitor, very bright. Highly recommended!

For someone who is not a computer savvy I highly recommend this monitor. I did some price comparisons and read alot of reviews before deciding on this product and I definately wasn't disappointed. The points that caught my interest the weight the monitor, the versatility, 450:1 ratio which definately make a difference in the quality of picture and the color. I would definately recommend this product it's a worth it.
