Great choice!
I bought my first Viewsonic LCD monitor when they first started getting popular about nine years ago. At that point Viewsonic was one of the top companys for LCD screens; I don't even want to tell you what I paid for a seventeen inch screen back then. NOT actually 1080!
The actual display is only 900 lines! Even if it is directly downscaling to 900 lines (instead of 1080 > down to 720 > back up to 900 like some TVs), this is still a loss of quality and misleading advertising. --- Update on December 5th: Thankfully, this product is now properly titled with the resolution, and no longer comes up in...

I bought my first Viewsonic LCD monitor when they first started getting popular about nine years ago. At that point Viewsonic was one of the top companys for LCD screens; I don't even want to tell you what I paid for a seventeen inch screen back then. The sales guy at Compusa said it was one of the best on the market and it would last a long time.
Well, nine years of constant use later it finally broke. I've got zero complaints, I've burned out tv's in half that time and I don't watch a lot of tv so I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the monitor. The problem with my old screen when it finally broke was the picture went black, I've since had it repaired for just under fifty dollars so I could have waited before I bought a new one, but after staring at the same screen for nine years, no matter how nice it is I was ready for a change, and a wide screen. Needless to say I couldn't be happier with my purchase, the picture is crystal, all of my games look better then before and because I bought a tv this time as opposed to just a computer screen I was able to get ridd of the small tv I had on my desk, as well as hooking up my Playstation to it. I have a small apartment so the space saving really helped. Great purchase. I'm due for a new tv soon and that one will be a Viewsonic as well. As for J&R music, the UPS guy delivered the item to the wrong house, my neighbor next door. Before I knew about this I called J&R music, I got a person right away, yes a real live person. They were very helpful and put a trace on my purchase immediately. Other then the mixup delievery was fast and the product description was perfectly accurate, the price was fare as well. I would definitely buy from them again. Great purchase, great experience, Thanks J&R?
