the first tv set I got didn't work. then customer service replaced it. now, 3 months later, I have occasional squeaks and whistles - not sure yet what to do.
also, if you are planning on connecting it to an amplifier, there is a grave problem in muting the internal speakers. You can mute them, but once you turned the tv off, this setting is lost and you need to do it again next time you start it

Great price/performance. Only (-) for Poor Remote Control Quality. No need to pay more just for the brand. Viewsonic is really "the choice of professionals"
I'm totally satisfied with the image brightness & image quality.
