Enriched Rice (Niacin, Iron [Ferric Orthophosphate], Thiamin [Thiamin Mononitrate], Folic Acid), Red Beans, Sugar, Salt, Hydrolyzed Corn Gluten, Wheat Gluten, Soy Gluten, Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed and Soybean Oil, Torula Yeast, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Natural Flavors, Maltodextrin, Red and Green Bell Pepper, Garlic, Spices, Corn Starch, Soy Sauce, Natural Smoke Flavor, Caramel Color, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate, Silicon Dioxide (Anti-caking Agent).
In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid bring 3-1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tbsp of butter or margarine (optional), then 1 pkg. Vigo Red Beans & Rice, stirring while boiling for 1 minute. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer, cook for 20-25 minutes. Fluff and serve. This product makes its own gravy. For drier rice, use 3-1/4 cups of water. Microwave: Combine contents of this package, 3 3/4 cups hot tap water and 1 tbsp butter or margarine (optional) in a 1-1/2 qt microwave casserole dish. Cover and microwave on High for 22 minutes. Stir. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Serve.
