Nice CF Card,

Amazon gave me this card along with my new digital camera order, and I have had it for a month or so. I have not had any problems with it, it was fairly cheap, and the speed seems to be okay. I reccomend it for anything except recording full 640x480 video at 30 FPS, because since this isn't a high speed card, when I tried to record at that quality and resolution, I only got about 15 or 20 seconds of movie recording time before the card got too slow. Other than that, I like this card and reccomend it

The specs state that the Viking CF64M-P CompactFlash Card has a speed rating of 1.2 - 2.25 MB/s. If we use the following speed ratings set forth by the SD Association:
2 MB/s Class 2 4 MB/s Class 4 6 MB/s Class 6 This CF Card is clearly a Class 2 card. Recording video at a maximum resolution of 640x480 and a maximum frame rate of 30 FPS requires a memory card with at least a Class 4 rating. This CF Card will not be able to handle video at the maximum resolution and frame rate. --- For more information on SD Speed Class rating, visit the sdcard.org site. |
