Most Helpful Customer Reviews

10 of 10 people found the following review helpful By M. Morin on April 2, 2014
I made the mistake of owning an entire Viking kitchen (ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, wall oven and warmer.) I strongly encourage any interested buyer to look elsewhere. The products are expensive enough without having to deal with the ongoing and extremely expensive repairs. I have had to have my stove repaired twice, my fridge several times, my dishwater 5-6 times and I am now dealing with them for my 3rd repair on the oven.

When the products work, they do work well. Unfortunately, the quality of all my products is extremely poor. I have had lots of minor issues such as all the numbers on my stove/oven dials washing off very easily (even though I clean per Viking instructions) or buttons and knobs breaking easily. Major repairs happen frequently as well and they are insanely expensive. My current issue is having to buy a whole new oven door (at $1,100) because the hinge is broken.) I have had the control panel for the dishwasher go twice (at $550 plus labor).

If you are considering buying Viking, plan on spending another 50% more on repairs or better yet, try another brand.
