5.0 out of 5 stars Works for me...
I use this for just about everything; transferring data between PDA SD memory cards; pulling photos from my camera's CF card. This drive just works. It is small enough that I have travel with it occassionaly, and the only side effect has been that the rubber foot has fallen off from traveling inside my laptop brief bag. I've thought highly enough of it that I bought one...

1.0 out of 5 stars product does not work as advertised, August 9, 2005
This review is from: Viking InterWorks IntelliFlash USB 2.0 12 in 1 MultiFlash Reader (FL12IN1READ/U) (Personal Computers)
The product will not work for the memory stick pro products with magic gate technology. When the vendor was asked about this, they replied that it was not tried on this product. Later they informed me that it would work on memory stick pro cards that have magic gate technology, which I replied where do I purchase these, since both scandisk and sony only sell memory stick pro cards with magic gate built into them. I specifically bought this item to use with the memory stick pro cards so I did not have to use the camera to extract the images. For me the product is useless.

5.0 out of 5 stars MultiFlash Reader, January 11, 2006
This review is from: Viking InterWorks IntelliFlash USB 2.0 12 in 1 MultiFlash Reader (FL12IN1READ/U) (Personal Computers)
I bought one of these four or five years ago and it is the most fantastic thing. It works on every computer that me or my friends use (both Mac and Window machines). Now I am buying a second one so I can leave one in two places. The best thing is it requires no software and no electricitiy so it is just plug and play. I love it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work for me, February 15, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Viking InterWorks IntelliFlash USB 2.0 12 in 1 MultiFlash Reader (FL12IN1READ/U) (Personal Computers)
I ordered one of these, but it didn't read SD cards on my PowerBook G4. Amazon replaced it with another, and that didn't read SD cards either. Both read CF cards, and illumiate the SD LED when I insert the card, so there's something seriously wrong.

For some reason, this unit doesn't work at all on my Mac Pro running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), but it works fine on a Mac G5 running 10.4 (Tiger) so I just use it on that computer.

2.0 out of 5 stars trouble w/ high storage mem cards, January 22, 2007
This review is from: Viking InterWorks IntelliFlash USB 2.0 12 in 1 MultiFlash Reader (FL12IN1READ/U) (Personal Computers)
windows XP: it works fine w/ my 256MB memory card, but freezes w/ my 2.0GB memory card. Others devices (e.g. my camera) work fine with both memory cards, so I believe the cards are working properly.

Linux: linux even has detected the device.

Didn't have to load any drivers or install any software with Windows XP. Reads different types of cards well. Highly recommended for Windows XP users.
