This review is from: Viking Sailing Ship 1-50 Revell Germany (Toy)
This was the first Viking Longboat that I purchased to build and I have really enjoyed building this one. The kit is really nice for the price. The assembly is easy and straight foward with easy to read directions. One thing I did was I left the decal Viking off the sail and ran rigging rope in the sails recesses. This detail alone made the kit look awesome. This kit is easier to build than the Heller kits and the molds on this kit are good and not warped like the Heller kits. On this kit there are an excess of shields with a total of 64 shields. There are 32 shields on each side of the ship, so Revell went a little overboard with the shields on this kit.
I would rate this kit as a higher skill Level 2 kit to build with some things that are very repetitive. This is a nice and easy kit for the money.
