First off, I knew this would be an historical romance, possible "bodice ripper", but was not expecting the story to end so soon! Apparently, this tale is only a short-story...disappointing! The story itself is a good read, until the reader gets to the end...and it just ends! The two characters were interesting and full of spunk, but I wished there was more to dig into, especially more about their histories/lives and families.

I was disappointed was I finished the book in 45 minutes. So be warned this is not a novel, but a short story or novella. The reason I was so upset it ended so quickly is that I was really enjoying the read. A lot of times these historical romances fall short on illustrating true human emotion. I think this author did an excellent job on character development while keeping the plot moving at a quick pace. Worth the .99 cent cost.

The novella was sweet, i really enjoyed it but the ending was not satisfying. The reader was left with uncertainty at the fate of the hero's sister which is what brought the h/h together in the first place. Nonetheless, the h/h 's story is really good. Im glad i read this one.

The story moved too fast, did not have enough background. There is no real begining to this story. Its like it started half way through the book. There is no real history or knowledge about the the characters. Their behavior is not realistic. I could not even bring myself to read the end. A waste of money even if it is only 99 cents. I swear this story was written by a highschooler. Reads like a teen's first attempt at writing romance, not a published book.
