No more wasted stabilizer and it does not disolve in humid weather or with sweaty palms, like a lot of soluabile stabilizer does. It is also thin, so using it on both the front and back with fine fabrics does not bulk it in your hoop. I have even used it front and back on terry towels and it works beautifully.
I've also bought two rolls in the 12" width for doing potholders in-the-hoop. Again, no more fuzzies from the tearaway stabilizer.
This stuff is strong. It looks, feels and hoops like fabric. For lace designs, I trim close to the stitching and soak the design in a glass pie plate filled with water for a few minutes. Then, I let the design air-dry on some cheesecloth. The difference in the finished product when using this instead of the stuff that looks like plastic wrap is like night and day. Order it! You will not be sorry. Just leave some for me, 'cause I'll be needing more!
