Over the years, I've had 4 or 5 waffle makers, and this is by far the best one ever. It heats quickly & has enough power to quickly return to the correct temperature after each waffle. It's heavy enough to supply the right amount of pressure on the batter & browns evenly. The cord wrap underneath is quite handy for storage - I wish more appliances had this feature. It does get quite hot on the outside, but the handles stay nice & cool. The bell that rings when it's heated to the correct temperature & when the waffles are ready is a big plus. The shipping was much faster than anticipated - less than a week. This is just a great little waffle maker.

I bought this waffle maker as a present for my wife. She was skeptical at first, but she is now convinced. Both of us love the waffles this iron makes and it is as simple to use as you could expect. We were especially impressed by the speed at which you can make excellent waffles-very handy when you are trying to feed the entire family. Unlike the other review here, we have had no problem with the ink on the level indicator or any other issues so far. Excellent value for the money

The ink that tells you the how to select temperature control does wipe right off on the first or second use. But it's obvious that if you slide the only adjustment knob to the right its cook longer than if you slide it to the left. Beside the ink wiping off, it's the best waffle maker I've used. I even have two of them. One is a Belgium style and this is the thinner style. Both are great!! I will actually make a large batch of waffles and throw what I don't eat in the freezer for later use. They are just as great out of the toaster. Though, I do recommend buying a drying rack or using your oven if you like crispy waffles.

I've had this waffle maker for several years, having acquired it after several other waffle makers that didn't really cut it.

Nothing fancy, but it's a solid waffle maker. Heats evenly, good temperature control, excellent nonstick surface, and the exterior is designed in such a manner that it's easy to clean up batter overspills.

We registered for this gift on our wedding registry, and it's my favorite item out of everything we received. I LOVE Belgian Waffles, and did a lot of research to find the right waffle maker. We had one when I was a kid and wound up returning it because it would make a big mess and never made the waffles right. This one is super easy to use, just plug it in, adjust the knob to how crispy/"done" you want the waffle, and then wait for it to tell you it's ready (with its beep and "ready" light lit). Then, just pour in enough batter so that it covers all the crevices. Close the lid and wait for it to beep again to let you know it's done. Make SURE you spray the top and bottom with non-stick cooking spray before you start. Even though I always do, the waffle still sticks a little bit to the top or bottom, but it's not too hard to gently pry it off. I couldnt imagine if I DIDNT spray... but anyway, the waffles come out delicious, we use the Aunt Jemima Original pancake/waffle mix and follow the waffle recipe on the back. YUM!!

Have had a prpoblem with the second waffle always sticking. None of my waffles stuck with this VillWare waffle. This is also a great looking iron and it stores standing up with storage for the cord provided neatly which I need as I have a tiny kitchen with very few cabinets. I am so pleased with this purchase.

My 20-year-old Villaware rectangular Belgian waffle maker finally gave up its ghost and I bought the V2004 as a replacement. We may still be in the break-in period but, so far, I am pleased with the results. The only drawback is that it bakes one side of the waffle more consistently than the other as if the lower burner element was hotter than the upper element. All in all, it is significantly better than others that I tried.

After researching waffle makers I decided upon the Villa Ware model V2004 as it was highly recommended by Cook's Illustrated as well as the reviews on Amazon. It was a gift for our son & daughter-in-law. They recently told me that they are very happy with it...exact words were "it's great". They had no negative comments.

Love this waffle iron It heats up quickly and waffles are ready before you know it. The price was 10.00 less than on another website for small applicances. Really like the signal beep to let you know the waffler is ready or that your waffles are ready. Recovers very quickly in order to keep waffles coming for a crowd. Great waffle iron.

That is who I am now with the Villaware V204. Great waffles and almost no cleaning is needed.
