After my old waffle iron went up in smoke I did extensive research into the pluses and minuses of several brands of waffle irons. I chose the Villaware Perfect Waffler primarily because the automatic thermostat maintains the correct temperature for perfect waffles-very hot, something most other waffle irons can't do. As a result, I get crispy, tasty waffles each time without the bother of adjusting the thermostat. All I have to do is wait for the light to go off, pour the batter onto the grid, close the top(the light goes back on), and wait for the light to go off again; perfect waffles, every time. This waffle iron, being teflon coated, is also very easy to clean and allows the fat conscious to use less of it in the preparation of the waffles. Though I still use some of my mother's old appliances, I am glad my old waffle iron burned up so I could try this one. I would recommend the Villaware Perfect Waffler to anyone who really likes his/her waffles brown, crisp and delicious every time.

I've tried many different waffle irons over the years and this, by far, is the best one. I've used it several times so far and every single waffle, no matter what recipe I use, comes out perfect. Nothing sticks and when the "done" tone sounds, it's ready!

I bought this waffler not quite sure what to expect. The one I bought was originally broken - I sent it back to the manufacturer with a note describing the problem and a new one arrived two weeks later! This second waffler cooks very quickly - almost too fast. You have to gobble down one waffle in a hurry in order to catch the next one piping hot. This waffler is head and shoulders above the 10 year old one that I had been used to and makes perfect waffles every time.
