I love this blender! It is absolutely perfect for entertaining because of it's large capacity- one base (with two motors) and two containers (with spouts) which hold seven cups each. I use mine when I have parties, or on a daily basis to make milkshakes, smoothies, and frozen coctails. There is a drip tray underneath the spouts on the containers to keep your counter clean from drips and spills. Clean-up is a breeze, because the spouts are removable, as well as the grate on the drip tray. I previously owned a Smoothie Jr. blender by Back To Basics, and the motor quit after three months of heavy use. However this model by Villaware is made for heavy duty use, it is made to last. It's twice what I had paid for the Smoothie Jr., but it's also twice the capacity, it's really two blenders.

P.S. I have bought cookware and electronics by the Villaware brand before, and I have never been disappointed.

kids that use it constantly and its great for partys i love the dual machine make things a breeze

We have many parties and I thought this machine was such a great idea to keep the blended drinks flowing. We used this for the first time at a party that had over 60 people. It worked great...keeping the margaritas flowing all night long. The problem?? The pitchers are made from very fragile plastic. When it came time to clean the machine the following morning, the margarita that had leaked out had gotten the pitcher stuck in the machine. With most good quality machines, a little muscle will free the pitcher up. Not this machine..the handle snapped off like a dried twig, shattering the whole pitcher. Wish they had made the pitchers with better quality plastic or glass so it lasted longer than one night.

This is a great product for parties. It makes it very easy to make two types of drinks, keeps it all in one location, and happens to be a centerpiece of conversation too. Easy to clean and fun to use. Good for kids drinks too.

This Smoothie bar is awesome for those who make alot of smoothies. The spouts are perfect for serving. The blenders come totally apart for easy cleaning. Each blender is big enough to make alot of each flavor, if you are making different flavors in each one.

Don't guess, read the directions. Worked great once we read the directions. The smoothees were delicious and the high-speed blades crushed the ice quickly and thoroughly.

I bought this for my wife who likes to entertain on our patio during the summer. She often mixes up margaritas (and similar) so I thought this would be a nice produce for her parties. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It decent job of chopping and mixing, even ice, but it had significant problems elsewhere. The front drip tray was warped and would not stay in place. The motor had a strong ozone smell, like burning electrical wire. Even worse, one of my spouts leaked constantly, making a mess just sitting there. We returned this item as defective and didn't want a new one. Instead, we purchased a Margarator (which we love) and use it with our standard blender. Again, a great concept, but the product quality was not up to par.

So its like this: The top to my KithcenAid blender was chewed up by my puppy so I decided to save a few bucks and pick this up- I've had it now for about a month and at first we loved it. it matched all my stainless appliances and looks nice sitting on my black granite countertop. thats all the positives that I can muster up. The motor only has two speeds- hi and lo and both are extremely loud- I know its a blender but this thing sounds like a helicopter taking off- twice as loud as my KitchenAid. The plastic jars are NOT dishwasher safe- and will warp. (the top will not fit on one of them anymore)if the jars were made of glass that would be a big plus. the way the tops screw on top are not practical for the dual blender style-shich I bought- its a funky half turn top that is a pain because the right side jar gets in the way of the left side top- hard to explain but you'll see what I mean if you have the chance to see it on display- the pouring spout is useless unless you were pouring straight liquid. the opening is too small to accomodate smoothies,milkshakes or anything semi-thick.
this was a great idea with poor engineering. if Villaware changes out the PITA tops and does away with the plastic jars and extends the spouts diameter making it usefull to pour a smoothie/milkshake then I'll buy another- til then I'm going back to KitchenAid.

Not a bad machine, just not as well made as I'd of liked. Looks good and easy to use, fairly easy to keep clean. Not a replacement to a regular blender but good for parties

I liked the fact that you could blend more than one flavor at a time. What I didn't like is it took forever to get the ice smooth enough to pour from the dispenser. I had to leave the spout open and blend at the same time to get it to work. With holding the button down, eventually you started smelling something burning.
