Carpenter's score for his remake of Village of the Damned lets the Marin County (where it was filmed) New Age Music sound filter in and it works quite well. Soft and gentle, even when underscoring moments of terror, this score is almost relaxing to listen to. Those fans more interested in Carpenter's hardcore scare music will be happy with the tracks Burning Desire and The Brick Wall. Recommended.

This album recorded by John Carpenter is a magnifacint blend of music from the supernatural, and a blend of victory! It is a score that expresses the film's subject to wich evil has manipulated the world of the secluded Midwich. it is a blend of a synthesizer and an orchestra! It is a well worth it deal in wich the music is very satisfying errie score. One ponint in the film the childern go outside there barn house and kill those who tend to destroy them. This peice of music has a victorious choral backround blend! A great score for relaxing! Very well produced.

I thought this was a wonderful show, even by comparison with the old one. Christopher Reeves does a wonderful job as the lead star (which George Sanders played in the earlier version) whom the children trust and who must ultimately deal with them. Interestingly, although different from the earlier version, I liked the ending and the possibilities it brings. I love the fact that this one child is empathetic with humans. My only wish is that he could have prevented the death of Melanie by showing her some affection and love and empathy, which he obviously displayed very well. My hat's off to this cast and production of a remake of a classic, which did justice to the original.
