Young Star Wars readers will adore "Villains." The book introduces some of the bad guys from the CGI Clone Wars TV show. "Villains" features General Grievous, the bounty hunter Cad Bade, Count Dooku, Ventress and the Mandalorian Pre Vizsla. Each page features a mini write-up on the character. A few comic book style panels show scenes of that character in season two of the TV show. Some pages have an additional pop-up character. These somewhat hidden pop-ups include Poggle the Lesser, Darth Sidious and the Separatist Droid Army. Employing the most modern techniques for these sorts of books, the pop-ups are stunning. While opening, the characters often seem to jump into their pose. Moving the pages up and down, the figures seem to move naturally. The moving parts seem sturdy enough, so the book should get some good use before inevitably falling apart. As a strong counterpart to "Heroes," the title also compliments "A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy." Darth Vader is celebrated as one of popular culture's most iconoclastic bad guys. To follow suit, "Clone Wars" has introduced a new wave of evildoers. Delight any padawan reader with "Villains."

What to get for an avid book lover and a Star Wars fanatic. I know he will absolutely love this unexpected and unusual addition to his collection(s). The only problem will be which collection to add it to.

My nephew loved this book and read it every night for a month! The pop-up quality is excellent, and the price is great.
