Product Description

The Anmut Collection is a re-launch of an authentic "fifties" shape by Karl Leutner, an artistic personality in Germany during that time. Its styling consists of slightly rounded, softly flowing and simplistic lines which reflect earlier times that are appropriate today. It's translucency shines through with this white bone china pattern that is elegant and casual enough for everyday use. Mix it with the Wildberries pattern and add some designs from nature... It is also microwave and dishwasher safe

Villeroy & Boch's Anmut is a classic white bone china. Simple, very elegant, strong without being too thick and clunky like some other china. To me there is just the right hint of warmth to the white of V&B's bone china. Spode is a little too cold (slightly bluish by comparison), some brands have a slightly grey effect, and others are a bit too warm (almost a yellow cast to the color).

The reviewer who complains about this pattern not matching his existing dishes should have verified his/her pattern name, and checked the material--most of Villeroy & Boch's patterns are made of porcelain, which doesn't have the translucence of bone china, and the color is a cooler tone of white than bone china. Since Amazon.com clearly states the pattern name in this listing, there is no reason why they should post a photo of the underside of the plate. This item does not deserve a one-star review because a customer ordered the wrong item.

Had these nearly a year now and use for everyday ware. Excellent white, really pure and great shape. Food looks good on them, even mine.

Simple elegance. Can be mixed with other Villeroy and Boch lines. Why keep these in your cupboard collecting dust when they can be enjoyed daily. Perfect for a peanut butter sandwich or fine dinning.

I have a set of Villeroy and Boch plates that I was looking to supplement. They look pretty much like this plate, but, in fact, the color is different. If Amazon or the vendor posted a photo of the underside of the plate, I would have known that it was not a match.
