On the plus side, like all of the Switch-3 items, the colors are beautiful. However, I returned this product because the dish doesn't hold a standard stick of butter sold in the US, though it would be perfect for cream cheese. You can't tell from the picture, but it's double the width and shorter than a standard dish. Also, the lid is bigger that the base so it appears to be mismatched.

I have the Switch-3 set of dishes, so I ordered this butter dish. It's a very unusual dish, since it has a wider base than you normally see on a butter dish. I really like it, and it looks very nice on my table.

This butter dish is a great addition to the Villeroy & Boch Switch 3 line. It washes well in the dishwasher and is very durable. The colors look nice against the crisp white background.
