Du bonbon,
By Jean-Loup Lansac (Montréal, Québec Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Vincent Delerm (Audio CD)

The new generation of French inteligent songwriting,

This review is from: Vincent Delerm (Audio CD)
Very good first album by Delerm, who manages to conjure in his songs the atmosphere of Nouvelle Vague movies, the moment of terrible solitude after breaking up when you find something left behind by someone you didn't want to go, or a vision of Paris (and suburbs, as in the song Chatenay Malabry) so full of melancholy that you would expect it to have come from someone much older. The sepia-tinted glasses still let a lot of humour through and the beautiful literary sensitivity of the writing echoes Delerm's own father's (the writer Philippe Delerm).
