Greg Taylor's Da Vinci in America,
This review is from: Da Vinci in America: Unlocking the Secrets of Dan Brown's "The Solomon Key" (Paperback)
There is a lot of information to be found in this book of 178 pages.
The first thing I am going to do now I have read it is to re-read Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons to look for all the interesting little things that this author pointed out in this book. The chapter The Masonic Foundation of America is fascinating and readers will be surprised to learn that the Founding Fathers had Masonic involvement, and thus built the city of Washington on it's principles. The book contains conspiracies, and cryptograms and how to decode them, the Ku Klux Klan and Rosicrucians and the not so tenuous link between the Templars and Freemasonry. The book does not need any attachment to Dan Brown's The Solomon Key , but will stand alone as a handy item of reference for many years to come. B.Pattison Australia

Being a student of "alternative history", in the same vein as Dan Brown, and being a reader of The Daily Grail, Greg Taylor's alternative news website, I am anxiously awaiting Brown's next edition. After getting Greg Taylor's book, I am even more excited, but much more prepared!
Greg takes us through many possible twists and turns of the next Brown novel. Even if Greg's ideas and possibilities are not included in the novel, I learned so much and found many other books I needed to read, study, and add to my personal library. I feel more prepared for Brown's next book and will not have to stop and look up nearly as much information as I go through the story. Taylor's book is well written, well noted with a great bibliography! One you will want to use as a "wish list" and study guide. I thoroughly enjoyed it! If you're just a book worm and have enjoyed Brown's books, get this one and see if Greg turns out to be correct in what he believes the story line might be and the history intertwined within.

Greg Taylor is not a newcomer to these subjects jumping on the Da Vinci Code bandwagon. Greg has many years of scholarly work to back up his views and enough research to fill several books. I look forward to reading them all.
I am a long time reader and fan of his Daily Grail web site and continue to be amazed at the volume of research and facts Greg has access to. His readers had information into the background of the Da Vinci Code long before Dan Brown's book came out. If you want the real inside scoop into the heart pumping, mysterious adventures, look for this name...Greg Taylor.

The guy can write, no question about it. He shines a fascinating light on subjects such as the freemasonic nature of the founding fathers and how these secret societies that everyone "knows" about are now emerging into the limelight and reveals how influential they have really been in shaping our modern western society.
Hopefully Mr. Taylor will write more about these intersting subjects and perhaps publish his very own masterpiece. He sure has the talent for it !

Under 200 pages, well written, loaded with references and end notes. Greg has a fairly unique ability as a writer to provide meaningful information and objectivity while keeping it interesting and concise. His ability and experience in the field allows him to catch on to things that slip past others. I've been a big fan of The Daily Grail for many years and the massive amounts of news and information it produces. His work both in this book and on Sub Rosa magazine takes that to an even greater level in terms of quality. To learn more, I'd recommend checking out the Daily Grail website and doing a search on "strange constructions". You'll find a sample chapter from the book there. Anxiously awaiting both Dan Brown and Greg Taylor to produce their next master pieces...

A literary landmark of scholarly excavation into mysteries behind our cultural conditions and the formative causations of our world's relationships. Even if you are not fascinated by Dan Brown's subject matter, this book is very well worth reading.
