The allure of this, obviously, is from the The Da Vinci Code, and what you'll find inside is something that is fun for kids and teenagers, perhaps, before it gets tossed aside for other things. The most interesting 'project' is How to Build Your Flying Machine, because the model is supplied and afterward you have something to put on the mantle. Building the cathedral is also a nice activity, but it's a paper model and isn't so sturdy. There is at least one activity that is virtually pointless; 'restoring' The Last Supper (you pull a tab and wow! It's restored.)
The box itself is cleverly crafted and the notes are fun to read once. If you buy this, do not pay full price. As of now, this can easily be found for only a few dollars.

I purchased this kit as a cart filler to get free shipping. I paid less than $4 for it and my 8 yo son has enjoyed the projects so it was well worth the money. I wouldn't pay full price for it though.

the whole set of materials don't make much sense, the airplane thing made my son frustrated to put them together. not recommended
