I use this soap to clean my Sigma Makeup 12pcs. Professional Brush Set. The soap works well and comes in a convenient tin.
I'm not sure what ingredients the soap has, but it smells mildly and pleasantly of citrus. It works equally well on water- and oil-based makeup, and keeps my brushes clean and conditioned.
The only thing stopping me giving it five stars is that the tin tends to rust around the lip where the metal isn't polished/coated. I've occasionally grabbed a rust flake or two with my brush when in a hurry, and then had to spend a few extra minutes making sure I've rinsed them all out.
The soap itself is great, but the tin - not as much.

I use this every day to clean my eyeliner/eyeshadow brushes and love how clean they get. But for my powder and blush brushes, it is a bit unwieldy. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, the inside of the container has begun to rust, which is another reason I don't use this soap to clean the bigger brushes.

My daughter has probably 100 brushes, and she is particular about the cleaner she uses. I did not think she would like this, but she really does! It removes all of the residue leaving the brushes very clean, and since it is a cake she won"t spill it!!

I like this product. Mostly I like the container which I plan to reuse. The ease of use makes it much more likely I will conscientiously clean my brushese as we all MUST do, ladies. Say no to nasty bacteria which causes those breakouts you are attributing to other things! THINK ABOUT IT. However, if you read the ingredients, I have to say it seems to me that it is a very basic, decent quality, yummy lemon-smelling, vegetable based soap. Do I need to pay twenty bucks for that? Probably not. Just make sure to rinse, rinse, rinse, until the water runs clean. The more frequently you clean, the less crap you will have washing out and the quicker (less painful, less time consuming) the chore.

CLEANING, DRYING, ETC.
Wet the brush first - for natural bristle, use lukewarm, never hot water. Think - natural hair follicules. Swirl the brush on the soap, THEN REMOVE and wiggle in the palm of your hand to work up a lather. DON'T do this IN the soap. It will make the soap SMUTCHZKY and leave bacteria in the soap dish. YUCK. Work up the lather GENTLY on the brush (assuming you have good quality brushes and actually care about them lasting a long time). Then, rinse, repeat, etc. Also, here's a fun tip for drying (after much grief and web-searching). You DO NOT need to purchase expensive "drying devices." Simply clear your towel bar and locate an elastic hair band. Place your wet brush (gently pressed into a towel/paper towel to remove most moisture) with bristles pointing downwards --> perpendicular to the towel bar. Loop the hair band around the shank of the brush. One loop around the brush handle above the towel bar and one loop around the handle below the towel bar. Presto. The brush is held snugly, pointing downwards for the water to drain away from the ferule (never let water get up in there, the glue will loosen and cause bristles to detach). Brush will be dry in 12-24hrs (even heavy Kabuki brushes). For free! Enjoy.

I have taken to shampooing my watercolor brushes every couple of weeks and they are very springy and clean. I think it's a little expensive, but it should last a good long while :)
