5.0 out of 5 stars The story is wonderful, but... February 23, 2009

...the subtitles were awful. I am learning Korean and watch korean dramas for language practice. The stories are fun, too. This one taught me the word for grape, very helpful. However, if I had not seen it online already, I would have missed a lot of the story. I bought it because I like to support the creators and so the family could watch it. I rated it at 5 stars for the show, but I wish there were sub-ratings so more information could be imparted.

The cast brings a standard story line (spoiled city girl comes to live with coarse country types and comes to love them) to life and it's wonderful seeing the rustic Korean countryside. The leads are two of my favorite K-drama stars, Yoon Eun Hye of Coffee Prince and Princess Hours and Oh Man Suk of The King and I and Strongest Chil Woo (cameo). The confession of love scene at the end of the show is one of the funniest I've ever seen.

I recommend watching it online so you'll know what's going on and buying it to support the people who made it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great romantic comedy July 21, 2007
By Cat
When I bought this drama,I didn't watch it immediately. After watching Princess Hours, I liked the actress Yoon Eun Hae. When I found out that she also starred in this drama, I decided to watch it. Sure enough YEH never failed to make you laugh.

This series is awesome. I highly recommend this to everyone who is looking for a romantic comedy with sense.

The copy i had did not have good english subs but it didn't really matter, I got the jest of it.

This is one of my top 5 korean series.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously??? March 25, 2011
Verified Purchase
I was highly disappointed with my purchase. The case was broken and almost every dvd inside was badly scratched. I tried to watch the first dvd, but the subtitles were HORRIBLE. I couldn't even watch a full episode. I have seen this drama before and I really love it, which made this experience even more dissatisfying. Don't buy this item!!! It is such a rip off for the price. You could tell that it was ripped from TV. The station logo is still in the video and the video quality is poor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Funny January 31, 2009
By Meia L
Man in the Vineyard is a comedy that aired on KBS back in 2006. It's a funny show and Yoon Eun-Hae is hilarious. The only drawback to owning the one i bought on dvd is the english captions. If you have some knowledge of the korean language, it sholudn't be a problem.
