A handy gadget that works pretty well,

I saw this little device as I was doing some surfing on Amazon. After reading the other reviews, I thought that I would order one.{Incidentally, since receiving one and using it, we subsequently ordered two more as gifts!] Our son gave us the Vinturi, which works exceedingly well, but is a little messy and a hassle when company is sitting around the table and someone wishes a refill. It becomes a distracting performance each time that it is used.
The Vino-Air on the other hand, does not give the same amount of aeration to the wine as the aforementioned device does, and we do not use it when my wife and I are imbibing by ourselves. We use the Vinturi. But when company arrives, we use the Vino-Air. It makes a 'classy', non-drip pouring spout [far fewer drips on the nice, clean tablecloth!], and does a fairly good aerating job in the process. We have had multiple comments and compliments on it's effectiveness and funcionality. The price-point is also a good one. Salut! p.s. Believe it or not, we went to a very nice restaurant the other evening [The Salmon House on the Hill] and took our Vino-Air with us. Rather than ask the waiter to go through the big production of decanting our wine, we told him that 'we would pour' and inserted the device in our 'nice-but-not-stupidly-expensive' bottle that we chose. He thought that it was a super idea. He had not seen one of these before, and wanted one for himself [or so he said]. After we had finished the bottle, we simply removed the device, wrapped it in the paper napkin that we brought it in, and that was that. Love it!

Great little Aerator,

I have purchased 6 of these and have given all of them away except for the one I am using. Everytime I use it someone asks me where they can buy one, and I pull one of the gift cabinet and give it to them. I will be ordering more shortly. Best little Aerator around. It is easy to put in your purse and when you are at a restaurant that does not decant wine you just pull it out and most servers are really impressed. It does almost as good a job as decanting. Would not be without it!

Finally tested this last night, and I was pleasantly surprised by this thing! Tasted a Shiraz straight from the bottle, through the Vino-Air, and after letting some sit out for a good while to breathe on it's own. Definitely could tell a difference with the Vino-Air compared to wine straight out of the bottle. And I noticed the wine that sat out was starting to taste closer to the Vino-Air but it took quite a while. For virtually instant decanting of a glass of wine, this thing is hard to beat. Might be getting more of these for Christmas presents!

I had heard that wine aerator's actually worked making wine taste better. The first one I'd seen was at my sister's house (she is a wine snob--joking but she makes an annual pilgrimage to Napa to stock up on some great wines...she had the Venturi which worked so well that I started my quest for one. I found the Vino-Air on Amazon along with the Venturi but liked the looks and the price of the Vino-Air better so bought it...had some friends do a before and after taste test and found that it was just as wonderful as the Venturi The look is streamlined without the big fat blob on top of my wine bottle. Also no drips. I've only had one time that it kind of stuck in the bottle but that was minor and I got it out by making sure my hands were very dry and giving it a bigger tug than usual. I liked it so much that I ordered another so that I would have one for red and one for white wine.
I have friends in Mexico that tried my Vino-Air and have asked that I buy one for them so I will be buying my third Vino-Air--it's that good! BTW I take one with me to restaurants too as it is very easily slipped into my purse--don't want to drink wine without this compact gadget.

Lame compared to Venturi aerator,

Got one of these for Christmas and also happened to get the Venturi Essential Wine Aerator as well.Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator I was therefore able to do a taste test. The difference was amazing.
The Venturi aerator makes a loud sucking noise as it pulls in air to aerate the wine and the difference in the wine is easily discernible. The VinO Air aerator hardly makes a peep and clearly does not have the same type of aerating mechanism. I was not able to taste any difference in the wine after using the VinO Air. Unlike the VinO Air, the Venturi is altogether more substantial and well made. It comes with a stand and a leather travel bag, because god forbid I have to have unaerated wine if I travel! The only thing I like better about the VinO Air is that it fits in the top of the wine bottle. You have to hold the Venturi over your glass, but that is a small price to pay for the thing to actually do what it is designed to do. I am returning the VinO Air and keeping the Venturi.

Love this product, and I am a big time wine drinking foodie. I have the vinturi aerator which is also very good and best used if you are decanting in my opinion. The vino-air wine aerator VinOair Wine Aerator Giovanniis very convenient for you just put it right on the bottle and pour, the pourer is much better than other ones I have tried. I have bought several in order to use on multiple bottles at a time. Told you I was a WINO....

I was first introduced to this product on a tour of Napa, CA. It really makes a difference in the taste of your red wines. Easy to use and clean.

I bought a different aerator, it was glass and fragile. It worked well, but I wanted somethine more sturdy for travel. I bought this one for myself and another for a friend. It works as well or better than the more expensive, larger, fragile, glass bulb. Plus, it's easier to clean. I and my friend both really like it.

Product is easy to use and mixes some air into the wine as it is being poured. This helps the wine release more flavor and gives it an aged affect. The nice thing is that you can do it one class at a time and this allows you to store the bottle and keep the wine longer.
