been making wine for over 5 years and this is one of the best kits ever,
it includes everything you need and tastes great!

For the price, this kit was excellent!! The wine tastes great and very easy to make. The kit was very affordable and we did not know how it would turn out, but it surpassed our every expectations. "WINE MAN" we don't exactly what you were thought you were going to get for a "28 day wine kit for $40.00" American, but we think you can't go wrong. We are definately going to order another flavor since fresh fruit is off season.

I make wine on the side, and at first it took a lot of research and time.

If your new at wine making, get this kit but be warned you will need more than just this kit. Besides the kit, you will need a glass carboy, plastic fermentor (plastic bucket), glass bottles 25-30, corker (to insert corks) and gas release knob (to vent gas, without getting the fermentor dirty). Everything else is optional, such as pump (recommended), funnels, thermometer, filters, heat gun (for shrinking covers), etc.

Also, for a better taste create 5 gallons of the kit instead of 6 (simply stop adding water at the 5 gallon mark). A common word used in the instructions is "MUST." Its simply the mixture of water, grapes, and yeast.

In sum, it will cost roughly $80-120 for all the equipment (that can be reused over and over) and $40 for this kit. Doing the math, it will cost $1.50 to $3.00 a bottle, not bad for table wine.

I have tried several wine kits. This one is the best for the $$$. I have made 3 of these Vino Italiano kits and have them bottled and waiting to be enjoyed. makes 30 bottles and comes with everything needed to make good wine. I'm very happy with this product.

I brewed and bottled my first batch of this Merlot. I added light oak chips to it. We drank much of it before it ever got to the bottling stage but I did manage to bottle and age 9 bottles for a little over a month. It is much better if you can get it bottled for a while. Even though it says it is a 4 week kit, I'd suggest not rushing it. Good wine is never rushed. Stretch the fermenting to 4 to 6 weeks before adding stabilizers and clarifiers. Then leave another few weeks and bottle. Free shipping is a plus.

I have a friend that makes homemade wine and wanted to start trying the kits so I purchased this for him. The kit has everything you need except bottles and instructions are well written. Once completed I got a bottle to try and loved it! I am not much of a Merlot fan but this had a nice flavor!

So far So good, I am in the clearing process with this kit. Instructions are good and the kit was easy to make. Did seem to take a while in the De-gassing Process, I plan to give it extra time in the carboy, before bottling.

update: This kit turned out better than I had thought it would, very drinkable, I made half the batch as a dry Merlot by the directions and backsweetened half with wine conditioner to taste to make a semi-sweet red. I will definately purchase the Vino Italiano kits again.

I have been making wine kits for over 15 years and for the money this Shiraz wine, which I have made several, rates from a 3 star to a 5 star. For the money this can't be beat, however I have noticed a significant difference in, appearance & taste. I have tried using a 19 liter vs. the 23 liter with great sucess.

Made several of these Vino Italiano kits and have been impressed. They are great to make and drink while you have better kits aging. If you add raisins to the red kits it helps add some body. They don't compare to $10 bottles of wine, but are still a good value. I will order more of them to have as everyday drinkers.

This was a very good kit and my brother -in-law who is a brewmaster give me some tips on how to enhance the flavor by reducing volume and increasing oxidation. I can honestly say that the wine made from this kit tasted way better then some bottles I've spent $10 to $12 on in the store.
