I just received these DVDs, and I think they're marvelous. There's something for everyone--bondage, silly music, hot French action, and more kitsch value than will fit reasonably on a spoon. And aside from a couple of rather mannish ladies, I thought the women were perfectly lovely. I also won't complain about the condition of the films--we're lucky they've survived all these years!

Those who expect to be titillated by some spread - mount - thrust vehicle, must look elsewhere. This is Art. Art that transcends the decades, remaining fresh and vibrant when viewed on the modern television screen. These depression era femmes have created for posterity a remarkable series of vignettes, where they perform seamlessly and without affectation, with a naturalness and vigor that holds fast the eye of the viewer. The classic goddesses of antiquity are brought to mind as in scene after scene voluptuous beauties display their enticing charms. Often lovingly delicate, sometimes harshly garish, at times hilarious, they manage to maintain an acute awareness of the medium in which they perform so brilliantly. These talented actresses put themselves into the necessarily thin and inconsequential plots with such vigor and panache that this viewer was left trembling, awestruck at their mastery of technique and execution. You will not be disappointed in this collection of unique treasures from the past.

This so cool! Instead of rooting through various separate vintage erotica collections. It is done for one here. An educational and enlightening course in the lives of our fathers and grandfathers when photography and film were first put to use and with the passing of time, evolved. When time began, man began to use the visual mediums available to him to regale in the female in all its guises. It holds true today. The more society puts a crimp on the presentation of sexuality, the more profound and revealing it becomes. We are sexual beings, sex is a fact of life and living.

The 1950 DVD which I got separately is a ripoff. None of the three beautiful women in the clear cover shots are anywhere in the DVD, instead there is scratched blurry film of mostly very ugly women. Dunno about the other two CDs.
