The glass bottles are thick and well made, but the carrier is flimsy and has rough metal spots. It's fine as a decorative item, but I bought mine for old-fashioned children's party games (drop the wooden clothespins in the bottle) which I played as a child. To protect small hands from metal cuts, I will use the bottles without the holder.
